Select your character

I thought a good way to start off would be to talk about something I sometimes wonder about in games where you have a choice in your avatar.

There are times when you have a choice, like take "The Masters" for instance, or even "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" would be an even better example, where you get to pick what type of character your going to control, and games like that give you a lot of freedom, whether it's clothing or over all appearance but most importantly they give you a choice over which gender you want to play as. To me that really makes a game just a little more attractive to play, I don't always like being forced to play the stereotypical "good looking" guy (good looking is always debatable depending on the person), I was ecstatic when even Halo 3 gave you the minor option of playing as a female spartan in online matches, granted you couldn't tell except for the voice but still, I was happy. There are times though that when you would think you would have that option between male and female, it's lacking obviously game designers are under no obligation to add this in, but when it comes to in depth character customization you would think that would almost always be a must have (with a few exceptions depending on the story of course).

At any rate, that's my two or three cents, I just prefer being able to play the female but even when you don't have a choice, there aren't that many female leads either but that's a topic for another day I think.

In the beginning

No this isn't some biblical rant, actually this is the start of something I personally hope will grow and catch on (if not, I can at least say I tried right?)

I started this blog to talk about games, but not just games (there are thousands of gaming blogs around and all of them say the same thing for the most part) this is a place for a special breed of gamer, though all are welcome, within reason I suppose. This is a place for transgender, transsexual, and crossdressing gamers can call home (so to speak).

Personally I've spent half my life wondering what I am, male, female, hell I still don't know but I know what I like and that's games, but I also no I'm not the only gamer like myself. I know there are a lot of us out there, being TG TS or CD doesn't mean we can't enjoy games, we are still us, so why not have a place to talk about games and be us.

I said this was open to everyone within reason, and I meant it, obviously I have little patience for idiots that want to make fun of anyone that enjoys, well, either actually, games or who we are so I won't hesitate to take out any comments that are mean and hateful to the TG community or gamers (though I'm pretty sure I've got less to worry about people having issues with gamers).

Here's to something new (for me) and hopefully something everyone can enjoy.
